CyberSec Resilient was founded on a simple observation: South African medical practices have IT providers, but almost none have someone focused on the operational, human, process and governance side of cybersecurity. That's the layer where most incidents actually begin — and the one nobody covers.

The operational side of cybersecurity — staff, processes, governance, data protection and incident readiness. Not servers and firewalls.
Our approach
We translate cybersecurity and POPIA into controls ordinary practice staff can understand and actually execute — in their language, in their routine.
Where we work
Based in Pretoria, serving Gauteng and practices across South Africa. Much of what we do is effective remotely.
What we believe
Cybersecurity is mostly operational, not technical. Most incidents don't start with a sophisticated hack. They start with a person doing something reasonable in the moment. Fix the operational layer and you fix most of your risk.
Controls your staff can't follow aren't controls. A 40-page policy nobody reads is theatre. A one-page SOP at the reception desk is a control. We build the latter.
Trust is earned with facts, never invented. A cybersecurity brand that fabricates testimonials, metrics or certifications undermines everything it claims to protect. We only state what we can verify.
POPIA is an operational discipline, not a document. Compliance lives in daily routines — not in a binder on a shelf. We help practices build the routines.
Founder & credentials
Onkemetse Seloka is the founder of CyberSec Resilient. With a background in healthcare centre leadership and IT governance, he brings an operational perspective to cybersecurity that most practices lack — the layer between IT infrastructure and the people, processes and governance where most incidents actually begin.
His qualifications include an MBA (University of South Africa), ISO 22301 Lead Implementer (Business Continuity Management), PECB Certified, ITIL Certified (IT Service Management), and extensive experience as an IT Governance & GRC Leader and DR/BCP Expert (Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning).
